Today we're going to talk about how to properly execute a U-turn. Before you even consider
doing a U-turn, you've got to make sure it's legal to do so.
If you're on a roadway that has a line on it and you're going to cross that line, you're
not allowed to make the U-turn. Make sure it's on a proper roadway where it's legal
to do so. Now if you have to do the U-turn, you're going to basically start with your
car alongside the roadway to the right. The whole idea with the U-turn is we just want
to turn this car around, and we want to go back in the opposite direction from which
we came. The proper way to do it, put on your indicator, and then make sure it's safe before
you leave that space. You have to put on your indicator, check your mirrors, and then look
over your shoulder. Make sure it's safe. Make sure you've got a nice long gap.
Make sure there isn't any vehicles coming in this direction. When it's nice and safe
to do so, you're going to just turn your wheel all the way to the left and bring your car
all the way around and then just go right back on this roadway from the direction in
which you came. The crucial part about this thing is to make sure it's safe before you
